Installation of solar arrays on roofs (on-roof mounting)
Installing PV arrays on to an already existing roof structure has become standard these days. A wide variety of mounting systems allow a fast and safe installation of the solar panels – even at high loads from wind or snow – which makes it quite inexpensive to put up such solar generators. They are designed to meet the structural requirements of the of the existing roof construction.
Topics of the on-roof mounting dossier:
(Dossier in German only)
Mounting of solar panels (crystalline and thin film),
mounting on inclined roofs (tiles),
mounting on flat roofs (foil, bitumen and others),
mounting on trapezoidal sheet metal roofs,
notes on structure and design,
notes on standards (roof loads and mounting),
notes on wiring (DC, AC),
notes on protection from animal damage,
lightning and overvoltage protection,
health and safety during on-roof assembly.
