According to the manufacturer, the EV Charge Control Advanced Plus combines all the essential control and monitoring functions for the charging process of an electric car directly on the AC grid. Due to the compact dimensions of the case, the device can be easily mounted and thus enables the simple assembly of a wall box or charging station.
In addition to AC charging in accordance with the IEC#61851-1 standard, the charge control also allows residual current monitoring on the DC side at six milliamperes on the DC side and 30 milliamperes on the AC side. It also offers automatic unlocking of the EV-connector at the charging station in case of a power failure as well as comfortable enabling via RFID for up to 20 users. The corresponding interface can be configured individually and has an RS485 and a Modbus RTU interface. The device is therefore well suited to operate with semi-public or commercial charging infrastructure where it is important that the individual charging processes can be linked with an individual user.
